CARES Act Form

The CARES Act (HEERF2) student emergency aid application criteria and process are detailed below.

Have you or your family been impacted by COVID-19? If so, Vermont Tech may be able to help.  The CARES Act funding covers financial disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students must submit an application. Once submitted, applications will be processes by the Vermont Tech Office of Financial Aid.  The minimum award will be $300.

Application submittal deadline: March 9, 2021*

The deadline to submit applications has passed. There is no current application for the CARES Act funding at this time (March 31, 2021)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be enrolled in the semester for which the student is requesting aid.
• Must be a degree-seeking student–Undergraduate, Graduate.
• Enrollment was impacted by COVID-19 and have expenses incurred for housing, food, course materials, technology, healthcare, or childcare.
• Be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen

Application Process:

• File an electronic application. *The application period is open through March 9, 2021. The application may reopen if funds remain. There is no current application for the CARES Act funding at this time (March 31, 2021).
• You will be notified via your Vermont Tech email of approval or denial. You should receive notification by the end of March on the status of your application.
