Vermont Tech is Certified as a Cisco Networking Academy

Randolph, Vt. — Vermont Tech is pleased to announce that the college has recently become certified as a Cisco Networking Academy for the Computer and Information Systems department. This program teaches thousands of students worldwide the skills necessary to build, design and maintain information and communication technology (ICT) networks. Vermont Tech’s Cisco Academy program combines traditional Software Engineering and Information Technology curricula with the practical, hands-on courses offered through Cisco.

“Our fundamental goal at Vermont Tech is to prepare our students for the ever-changing workplace,” said President of Vermont Tech Dr. Philip Conroy. “This Cisco certification allows us to deliver a more comprehensive education for students looking to pursue a number of careers.”

The Cisco Networking Academy offers many sought after certifications such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate and Cisco Certified Network Professional. This program is open to anyone who wishes to pursue Cisco certification.
Cisco directs 10,000 academies in 165 countries to help individuals prepare for industry-recognized certifications as well as entry-level information and communication technology careers in countless industries. By partnering with Cisco, Vermont Tech now offers increased opportunities for students and professionals looking to develop ICT education and skills.
