The Bob Williams Memorial Scholarship is given to a Vermont or New Hampshire resident who will study in the Diesel Power Technology Program.
Robert S. (Bob) Williams, II spent close to 50 years in the construction equipment industry. He was President and Owner of New England Equipment Company (the John Deere Industrial Dealer for Vermont and New Hampshire) for 15 years. Bob also worked for several Caterpillar dealerships and co-founded International Construction Equipment. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of the AGC of Vermont and Oxbow Technical School. Bob was passionate about the construction equipment industry, loved Vermont and felt strongly about helping young people get a start in their careers. The goal of this scholarship is to help a student interested in the construction equipment industry.

Student outcomes correlate with the four-year bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Degree Requirements
Bachelor degree students are subject to Vermont Tech’s minimum degree requirements. The minimum degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Business Technology & Management are:
- 6 credits of English including Technical Communication
- 3 credits of information technology including CIS 1041 Computer Applications
- 6 credits of mathematics including MAT 2121 Statistics
- 7 credits of natural or physical science
- 12 credits of arts/humanities and/or social science including 3 credits at the 3000+ level
- 6 credits of other general education courses
- 40 credits of general education requirements
- 45 credits of electives
- 29 credits from the core curriculum including:
- ACC 2121 Financial Accounting or ACC 1020 Survey of Accounting
- BUS 2020 Principles of Management
- BUS 2230 Principles of Marketing
- BUS 2440 Introduction to Business Law
- BUS 3230 Financial Management or ACC 2122 Managerial Accounting
- BUS 3250 Organizational Behavior & Management
- BUS 3811 Business Problem Practicum
- BUS 4080 Business Strategy & Policy Development
- ECO 2060 Survey of Economics, Micro or Macro will substitute
- 6 credits from the following:
- BUS 3150 Production & Operations Management

The VAST Forward Scholarship is awarded to VAST graduates who return to Vermont Tech within one year of graduating from the VAST program. The scholarship is a certain amount per year and is renewable up to 3 years when a student maintains a cumulative 2.5 GPA. However, the VAST Forward scholarship may not be combined with other full and/or half tuition scholarships, such as the Valedictorian/Salutatorian, VTC 2+2, or, Full Tuition Waivers.
Any Randolph Union High School (RUHS) or Randolph Technical Career Center graduate from Braintree, Brookfield, or Randolph, Vermont who is accepted at Vermont Tech may apply for a significant scholarship from the Randolph Community Scholarship Fund renewable for four years. Any Randolph Union High School (RUHS) or Randolph Technical Career Center graduate from Braintree, Brookfield, or Randolph, Vermont who is accepted at Vermont Tech may apply for a significant scholarship from the Randolph Community Scholarship Fund renewable for four years. Vermont Tech will match 25% of that scholarship in institutional funds. Selections will be made by a RUHS committee in May. Students are not eligible for the 25% match if they are receiving a tuition waiver.
The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, 4-year scholarships to students who are permanent residents of New England states, with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, in the community or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.
