Kristi Denko

Kristi Denko learned how to build a house from the ground up before she graduated from high school.

The Construction Management student attended Stafford Technical Center before coming to Vermont Tech. There she learned basic construction knowledge to prepare her for her college career.

“I was a very outgoing person growing up, and I was always thinking about new ways to put something together,” she says. “After two years at Stafford, I knew I had the ability to become a manager in the construction industry.”

Kristi chose Vermont Tech because of its Construction Management bachelor’s degree program and because the school is located only an hour from her hometown of Proctor.

She has used the Vermont Tech career center, worked with tutors to help with her studies, and also tutored other students in need of assistance.

“I love my college career,” she says. “I believe I now have the knowledge and experience to be able to out into the real world and further my career.”
