Vermont Technical College is pursuing initial accreditation status from the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), located at 2600 Virginia Avenue, NW, 8th Floor, Washington, DC 20037; phone 202-909-2500. Interested parties are invited to submit third party comments in writing directly to NLN CNEA, attention Melanie Prince, NLN CNEA Manager of Accreditation Services, no later than Friday, September 13, 2019.
Initial accreditation status is desired for Vermont Tech’s Practical Nursing Certificate Program, Associate of Science Degree in Nursing Program, and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. As nursing program stakeholders, we encourage faculty, students, administrators, alumnae and other community members to submit program related comments directly to the NLN CNEA. Comments will be shared with the NLN CNEA on-site program evaluation team, the Program Review Committee and Board of Commissioners as well as Vermont Tech’s Associate Dean of Nursing.
The Associate Dean of Nursing will also be given the opportunity to respond to comments. Vermont Tech and NLN CNEA have established the following on-site program evaluation and related dates:
August 2019 – Self-Study due to be submitted to the NLN CNEA.
September 30th – October 3rd, 2019 – NLN CNEA site visit.
January 2020 – NLN CNEA Program Review Committee reviews site visit report & makes recommendation to NLN CNEA Board of Commissioners.
February 2020 – NLN CNEA Board of Commissioners reviews site visit report & Program Review Committee’s recommendation & renders accreditation decision.
