Participants in this class get in-depth exposure to DC and AC electrical theory including electron theory, magnetism, and Ohm’s and Kirchoff’s laws. The students learn about basic electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, and coils and then apply this knowledge by solving DC and AC electrical circuits problems. As the class progresses, it introduces more advanced electrical components and the techniques for reading and interpreting electrical schematics, multimeter use, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Finally, the students learn about the different types of batteries used in aviation and their inspection and servicing.
