24 May 2021

Green Mountain Grad Scholarship Announced

Vermont Student Assistance Corp. (VSAC), in partnership with the Vermont State Colleges System (VSCS), and the State of Vermont is offering a graduation gift to Vermont’s entire high school senior class of 2021 and 2020: one tuition-free course of their choosing at any VSCS institution, including Vermont Technical College. This is a legislatively funded initiative to provide Vermont high school graduates the opportunity to try one course at no tuition cost.

VSAC has created a number of FAQ about the program.

Who is eligible?

Any Vermont student in the high school graduating classes of 2021 and 2020.

How do I sign up for my tuition-free course at one of the Vermont State Colleges?

Get details at vsac.org/grad

When is the deadline to enroll in my free course?

Students will be able to enroll for summer courses that begin after July 1, or for the fall or spring semesters of this academic year. Students should act now because summer course options are limited and we expect demand to be high for this opportunity in the fall and spring.

What costs are covered?

Tuition for any course is covered in full. Course fees and textbooks are not covered so students should follow up with the college you are taking your course through to see if there are additional fees.

Are textbooks included?

No.
