Scholarship amounts listed are for new students only for the academic year 2022-2023. In future years, amounts may be adjusted downward if tuition decreases, so that the amount of the scholarship award remains consistent with the percentage of tuition met by the student’s most recent award.
A half-tuition scholarship is provided to any individual who can provide proof of Valedictorian and Salutatorian status from a Vermont public school, approved independent school, or recognized independent school. Students must have graduated from high school within the last 10 years and graduated in a class of at least 10 students. The scholarship is for Vermont residents and is renewable for up to eight consecutive semesters provided the student remain enrolled full-time and maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Determination of Valedictorian/Salutatorian will be based on the graduating school’s standard practice and receipt of spring semester grades consistent with historical academic performance.
Criteria
Students must:
- Have graduated from high school within the last 10 years
- Have graduated in a class of at least 10 students
- Remain enrolled full-time
- Maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher at Vermont Tech
Valedictorian and Salutatorian scholarships may not be combined with any other program or discount including VSCS tuition remission or tuition waiver.
