In recognition of the importance of the nursing profession to our members and our community, NEFCU is proud to support and assist individuals who wish to pursue a nursing career through financial scholarships for appropriate training at accredited institutions.
Inspired by the National Science Foundation, NEFCU is helping to increase the number of individuals who choose careers in the hard sciences by providing annual scholarships to applicants who best demonstrate their commitment to science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
NEFCU awards three $3,000 scholarships yearly to a NEFCU member applying to or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing or STEM program.
Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a member in good standing with New England Federal Credit Union. Applicants applying under parent(s) member number will not be considered.
- Be applying to or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate nursing or STEM program at a college, trade school, or university (minimum 6-credit semester or the equivalent).
- Employees and Volunteers of NEFCU, as well as members of their immediate families and households are not eligible. Previous NEFCU scholarship recipients are also not eligible.
