Competition Scholarships – SkillsUSA, FBLA, DECA, FFA

SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations, and for further education. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) education association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields.The Association has four divisions.  The FBLA Mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

With nearly a 70-year history, DECA has impacted the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators and business professionals since it was founded in 1946. Their strong connection with our organization has resonated into a brand that people identify as a remarkable experience in the preparation of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. DECA’s programs and activities have constantly evolved as we use the latest technology and apply cutting edge educational research. Our core focus has remained consistent and is captured in our mission.

Future Farmers of America (FFA) makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Criteria

Awarded to the student recipient to pursue a full time course of study at Vermont Tech. The scholarship is to be applied to room, board, tuition, books, laboratory and similar fees for the student and will be applied directly by Vermont Tech on behalf of the student. Student scholarship award based upon application and acceptance into a Vermont Technical program of student and must be used within one year of graduation from secondary school.  Scholarships are non-combinable with other competition scholarships.
