Jason Chamis

Vermont Tech was an easy choice for Jason Chamis.  After applying to and being accepted to three colleges with construction management programs, Vermont Tech was his top pick.

“After taking a tour of the school, I really liked the school and had a feeling this would be the school I would choose,” says Jason, who grew up in Connecticut.  “My mindset was ready for college because I was eager to learn and become successful.”

As a student in the Vermont Tech Construction Management Program, Jason started taking construction classes his freshman year. Now a senior, Jason says the program has helped him learn so much about the construction industry—from contracts and specifications to permits and occupational safety.

“My college career has gone by so fast and it has been successful,” he says. “The professors are great, they have so much knowledge to offer, and four years isn’t enough time to hear it all.”

Jason, who describes himself as an independent, motivated person, says the experience at Vermont Tech has been a powerful one.

“I’ve learned so much and made new friends along the way,” he says “I am here to learn and that is my number one focus while I’m here at Vermont Tech. I have no regrets.”
