The GM Women’s Retail Network has established a scholarship program to encourage more women to consider and pursue a career in automotive retail. The statistics show that women represent 85% of all automotive consumers and heavily influence the purchase of vehicle sales and service. We also know that women can effectively influence other women to consider, try and purchase goods in nearly every purchase category. To that end, dealerships that welcome women (as customers) and invest in women (as current and prospective dealership employees) have the opportunity to create a strategic advantage.
