Best Bet Scholarship

The J. Warren & Lois McClure Foundation has identified “best bet” career training programs for Vermonters in 2021 that lead to a recognized credential and a great shot at attaining a promising job within 18 months.

Additional scholarships for these “best bet” programs are available through the Curtis Fund, administered by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. To learn more about VSAC-connected scholarships, call (877) 961-4369 to connect with an education outreach counselor.

Students will be considered as part of their application review.

Application Details

  • For Practical Nursing, up to 40 Vermonters are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship through the Vermont Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
  • For Software & Web Development Programs, up to 20 Vermonters are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship through the Vermont Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
  • For Electrical & Plumbing Apprenticeships, up to 40 Vermonters are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship through the Vermont Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.

All funds are available on a first come, first served basis. Students must be new to the academic program and enroll in at least two courses.
