I am an assistant nursing professor with Vermont Technical College at the Williston campus, working in the practical nursing program as well as the associate nursing program. I have worked at Vermont Tech since 2015, starting out as a clinical associate prior to becoming full-time faculty. I am also a Vermont Technical College alumni having graduated with my ADN from the nursing program in 2012. My nursing specialty is in orthopedics although I enjoy working in a variety of settings. I am orthopedic certified, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified. I received my MSN in nursing education from Norwich in 2017, and completed my DNP through Chamberlain University in October of 2019. I have also recently completed the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) designation. I am a member of the ANA, NLN, and ONCB. When I am not teaching, I work in the inpatient acute care setting on Miller 6 at University of Vermont Medical Center Hospital. This unit specializes in orthopedics, orthopedic traumas, as well as orthospine/neurospine. I have a passion for nursing education and love to help students become amazing nurses. In my free time, I love to run, hike, snowshoe and mountain bike. I also love to travel and spend time with my family and yellow dog.
