Please read below for important information to help you plan your time with us.

  • General Parking: All parking will be in the main parking lots adjacent to the soccer field. At the campus entrance, follow the signs straight ahead
  • Special Needs and Assisted Parking (A handicapped permit is NOT required! Anyone with a wheelchair, walker, or difficulties walking a long distance is urged to use this area). At the campus entrance, follow the signs to the right, to the Morey/SHAPE parking lots. Drop off at the site of Commencement is possible, as needed.
  • We encourage you to car pool since parking is limited. Most parking will be a 10 minute walk uphill on uneven ground (1/2 mile) to the President's House. If this will challenge you, please take one of our shuttles which will be running through the parking lots continuously.
  • Shuttles are scheduled to run beginning 1½ hours before each ceremony and stop 15 minutes before each ceremony. There are signs for the shuttle stops.
  • Please plan ahead for traffic congestion coming to and leaving campus. Watch for volunteers directing traffic.
  • We will have interpreter services and a special section for seating for those in need of this service.
  • Please leave all non-service animals at home; they will not be allowed at the site of Commencement.
  • Commencement will be held under the tent, on the lawn of the President’s House, on the Randolph Center, Vermont campus. It is generally cooler under the tent, particularly for the morning ceremonies. Do plan accordingly.
  • Please refer to the department list at the top of the page to know when your student will be graduating.
  • Vermont Tech requests that no food or beverages other than water be brought into the tent area; we will have bottled water available at the tent.
  • Vermont Tech is a smoke-free campus.

In order for your student to be eligible to particpate in Commencement they must complete the “Application to Graduate”.  (See the graduation checklist for further information.)

Please note that Vermont Tech will not release graduate diplomas or official academic transcripts if there are any outstanding financial obligations to the College.

It is the student's responsibility to order regalia from University Cap & Gown. Students will not be permitted to participate in Commencement without appropriate regalia.

Tickets are not required to attend the ceremony.

The College Bookstore will be open one hour before and after each ceremony for your shopping pleasure.

GradImages provides the photography services at the Commencement ceremony.  Proofs will be available online or through the mail.  There is no obligation to buy.  Graduates are required to complete a readers card prior to the Commencement ceremony.  These cards are used by the company to send proofs.
