Andrew R. Myrick
I joined Vermont Tech as Faculty in the fall of 2005. I am currently an Associate Professor in the Construction Practices and Management Department (CPM). I hold an advanced degree in Practical Arts Education from the University of Vermont, as well as extensive construction, business, and real estate investment experience. I own investment property, and have managed and participated on construction jobs ranging from $150 to $3.5Million. I have participated in all phases of construction as a skilled worker, teacher, and tradesperson. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Adult, Technical, Vocational, and Extension Education from the University of Vermont. I have 22 years of combined teaching experience in secondary, technical, adult, and post-secondary institutions across Vermont, including South Burlington High School, Community College of Vermont, University of Vermont, and Vermont Technical College. My curriculum vitae includes coursework and research in public school administration, small business management, curriculum design, and technology. My current projects include a pick-your-own blueberry farm, woodworking, and maple production research.
I was raised in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, and attended Danville High School and St. Johnsbury Academy. I am currently re-engaging in studies at the University of Vermont to earn a Doctoral Degree. I am a lifelong and avid learner.
I have never forgotten my first visit to a college campus, which was here at Vermont Tech.
