Nursing is an art and a science which uses evidenced-based practices. This course analyzes the process of evidence-based practice, which is defined as the synthesis of scientific evidence, clinical judgment, patient preferences, and available resources. The student formulates clinical questions, performs database searches, appraises retrieved evidence, and develops a quality improvement project on a topic of interest.
