This course introduces the basics of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology including solar resource assessment; PV materials and modules; systems components; system sizing and design basics; mechanical mounting systems; installation methods; and performance analysis. Advanced topics current to the industry are also discussed. The course prepares a student to take the NABCEP PV Solar Entry-Level Knowledge Certificate exam.
