This course stresses the relation of mathematics to engineering applications and the importance of precision in mathematical thought. It covers the use of a graphing calculator; solutions of linear and quadratic equations; exponents and radicals; logarithms; exponential functions; right triangle trigonometry; laws of sines and cosines; vectors; operations with imaginary numbers; trigonometric identities and equations; and graphs of the trigonometric functions.
