The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has operated statewide as a not for profit Center since 1995. Our training programs are offered on-line and in-person and cover a wide range of topics important to your business’s success.
The Vermont Student Assistance Corp. was created in 1965 as a public nonprofit agency to help Vermonters who want to go to college or other training after high school.

There are Governor’s Institutes focused on Arts, Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Science and Technology, Mathematics, Asian Cultures, and Current Issues and Youth Activism – plus special Topics Institutes on Farms, Food and Your Future and Entrepreneurship. Any Vermont student can ask his/her school guidance counselor for referral to a Governor’s Institute for an unforgettable experience of extreme learning and extreme fun.
