The Graduation Fee of $125 is added to your bill after the Registrars’ Office has received and processed your graduation application. This fee is set by the Vermont State College Board of Trustees and is charged to every graduate’s account. This fee covers the administrative aspects of graduation and is not tied to the Commencement ceremony itself, nor does it include the cost of your cap and gown.
If so, you are required to complete a Loan Exit Counseling session online to review your rights and responsibilities under this federal loan program. Log-in to www.studentaid.gov to complete your online counseling. Exit counseling takes about 30 minutes to complete. You must complete it on one session; you cannot save and return to an incomplete session.
Please review the Exit Counseling Instructions. Contact finaid@vtc.edu if you have questions regarding this process.
Instructions on how to complete the graduation survey will be sent to your Vermont Tech email by May 8.
If you have a plain black cap and gown from a previous graduation, a new gown is not necessary. You will need to order a 2022 black tassel for all programs and 2022 tassel and hood for the Bachelor degree programs.
If you have not, please do so promptly. Contact the library if you have any questions.
Please check your live billing statement on your Self Service account for any balance due or you may check directly with the Student Accounts Office. All charges must be paid in full to receive your diploma and transcript.
Tickets are not required to attend the ceremony and we are no longer limiting guests.
Commencement will be held under the tent, on the lawn of the President’s House, on the Randolph Center, Vermont campus. It is generally cooler under the tent, particularly for the morning ceremonies. Do plan accordingly.
GradImages provides the photography services at the Commencement ceremony. Proofs will be available online or through the mail. There is no obligation to buy. Graduates are required to complete a readers card prior to the Commencement ceremony. These cards are used by the company to send proofs.
