Ag Grad Honored at VAST Graduation

Class Year: 1942

John Francis Angier, AG '42, was honored at the Vermont Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) graduation held on May 18, 2004 in Judd Gym. Dwight Cross, Headmaster for the VAST program, presented Angier with an Honorary VAST Diploma and a pencil line drawing of Old Dorm. After reading Angier's book, titled "Ready or Not - Into the Wild Blue", Dwight knew that he wanted to reference its contents at graduation. He felt that the story within was one that all the VAST graduates could relate to -- perserverance, hard work, and determination.

J. Francis Angier was raised on a Vermont farm and became a B-17 pilot during WWII. He flew jets and helicopters during the Cold War as well as many other types and models during a long aviation career. His love of flying was only exceeded by his love of family and country.
