Women's Volleyball

Women's volleyball has been part of the Vermont Tech athletic landscape for twenty five years. Commencing with the 2006-07 academic year, the program took a broad step forward. Historically, Vermont Tech played a modest volleyball in the spring. Most colleges play in women's volleyball in the fall. Accordingly, there were very few teams-other than the conference opponents-- to schedule for competitive play. In order to upgrade the program and find more opponents, Vermont Tech moved to a fall program in 2006. The team played a full twenty game schedule in 2006 and expanded to a twenty-four game schedule in 2007. Leading the program in this important new phase in its history is coach Mandi Fournier, a former standout Vermont Tech multi-sport athlete.

The women's volleyball team now competes in both the Yankee Small College Conference (USCAA affiliation) and the Sunrise Conference (NAIA affiliation). Non-conference opponents include Vermont rivals Norwich University, Lyndon State, Southern Vermont College and Green Mountain College.
