Golf
The Vermont Tech Varsity Golf Program made its debut in the fall of 2005 and has been going strong ever since. Coach Tom Milne carries up to fifteen golfers on the varsity squad. Team members compete prior to each intercollegiate competition for one of the five slots available in the forthcoming weekend match.
The golf team is open to both male and female students. A separate women's team will be created if there is sufficient interest among our female students. Practices are held at nearby Montague Country Club and the Three Stallion Inn Driving Range. Competitions are held at some of the best courses in New England, including the Country Club of Vermont, Vermont National Country Club and Lake St. Catherine's Country Club.
The golf team plays a seven match schedule in the fall and, weather permitting, a four match schedule in the spring. In the fall, the team competes in four Yankee Small College weekend events including our own Vermont Tech Invitational. The season is capped off with the Yankee Small College Championship Tournament in Portland, Maine. The winner of the YSCC Tournament receives an automatic bid to the USCAA Championship Tournament in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In the Spring, the team travels to Cape Cod to compete in the NAIA Region X Championship Tournament.
The golf team is coached by Vermont Tech golf legend Tom Milne, If you are interested in becoming a member of the golf team, please contact Coach Tom Milne at tmilne@vtc.edu.
