Let the Sorting Begin!
Class Year: 2006

On Monday, December 18 at Northwestern Medical Center (NMC) the VTC V.I.T. St. Albans nursing students lent their hand helping the NMC Activities Committee sort and separate about 350 gifts that would be delivered to fifteen families in Franklin County for Christmas.
This gift-giving event started five years ago through the Activities Committee that saw a need in the community. What started with a couple of families has now grown to fifteen and what normally took the better part of an afternoon for volunteering NMC personnel to sort, separate and pack into larger boxes for delivery took the St. Albans nursing students about 45 minutes.
The time was well spent and according to Debbie Timmerman, chairperson of the Activities Committee, most appreciated.
