Club Activities

The Machine Shop Club meets Wednesday nights in Morrill Hall. Come participate in projects. The Alternative Energy Club also meets Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the Alternative Energy Lab TENT adjacent to Morey parking lot. Contact Professor John Kidder for more information.

Abraham Shapiro Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a Vermont resident who has financial need. Download PDF


Agnes Lindsay Trust Fund
This scholarship is awarded to a rural New England resident who has financial need and is in good academic standing.

Arthur M. Williams Memorial Scholarship
This is awarded to a Vermont resident entering their senior year. Financial need and academic performance are both taken into consideration.

Belden Wire and Cable Company
This is awarded to Vermont residents that are incoming freshman. The award is renewable for a second year upon successful completion of the students freshman year.


Bridges to Vermont Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a non-Vermont resident entering the second year with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The student also must be actively involved in a college club, student government, or a community organization. Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in an associate's degree program, and the applicants must be contributing some personal or family funds towards tuition.

C.V. Starr Scholarship
This is awarded to a Vermont resident on the basis of need and academic achievement. The award must be used to replace loans or work-study, and not federal or state grants.

Ella Grindle Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to Vermont residents with financial need. Preference will be given to students from the town of Sharon, VT.

Phi Theta Kappa
This is awarded to a returning full time student who has financial need and has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Shorey-Harvey Scholarship Fund
This is awarded to a Vermont resident who is a full time student at one of the Vermont State Colleges and has and interest in education. The nominees need not be education majors; interest in education may be interpreted very broadly.

Stanley Judd Memorial Loan Fund
This loan is awarded to both in and out of state students that are either returning seniors in an associate's degree program or a bachelor's degree program. Applicants must have financial need and show satisfactory academic progress. The loans are applied directly to tuition, and the loan is interest free for 60 days after graduation or withdrawal. Then there will be an annual interest rate applied. Loans must be repaid within one year of graduation or withdrawal.

Stewart K. Morse Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a Vermont resident who has completed the first year of school. It is based on financial need and commitment to the students goals.

Vermont Society of Engineers Education & Research Foundation, Inc.:
Awarded to a student who has graduated from a Vermont high school, is in good academic standing, and has financial need.

Vermont Space Grant Consortium
The grant is worth $1,500 annually and is awarded on the basis of academic standing, to full time students attending VTC,UVM,and Norwich, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Vermont Women in Technology
Typically awarded to an incoming freshman but a VAST student in second year is eligible to apply. Must be a female enrolled in a non-traditional engineering curriculum ( Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Electromechanical). Award is based on academic promise and/or financial need.
