Thank you for taking a few minutes to visit our website. We are extremely proud of the depth and breadth of our people, programs, and facilities, and it is our hope that your visit to our web site will give you a glimpse of all that Vermont Tech has to offer.
At Vermont Tech, our dedication to hands-on, practical learning means that students not only examine the theories behind the material they are studying, but also have the opportunity to put new ideas into practice. Our labs and seminars give our graduates a practical, foundational base that enables them to secure good jobs within their academic disciplines or continue on to pursue advanced degrees. For more than 20 years, Vermont Tech graduates have enjoyed an impressive 98% success rate in finding employment or continuing their education.
By design and philosophy, we are a small, personal college. With an average class size of 16 and student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1, our students are never "lost in the crowd". While our academic programs may be rigorous, we provide a variety of academic tutoring and study skills assistance to help students achieve, advance, and succeed. We are committed to the personal and academic success of every one of our students-and that commitment is evident all across the campus: in the classroom, in the student center, at our athletic events, and in the many college-related activities attended by our faculty, staff, and administration.
Our beautiful Green Mountain state provides students with a variety of year-round outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and more. At our scenic, 544-acre Randolph Center location, we even have our own ski hill and rope tow for snowboarders and skiers to enjoy after class. Our Williston campus is located just minutes away from downtown Burlington and Lake Champlain, and offers students additional programs and flexibility. A wide variety of clubs and activities, including varsity and intramural sports, give our students a way to relax from their academic pursuits.
I hope you'll take the time to personally visit our campuses and see for yourself how Vermont Tech can help you achieve your personal and academic goals.
Best wishes,
Ty Handy
President, Vermont Technical College
