We partner with respected national vendors in offering instructor facilitated, online programs to give individuals the skills necessary for in-demand positions in computer technology, healthcare, business and manufacturing. Still other programs allow professionals to receive valuable continuing education. Because these are open enrollment programs, students can start when they wish and proceed at their own pace, whenever and from wherever they choose using an internet enabled computer.
Human Resources – SHRM

Individuals trained in the administration of health insurance programs are in demand at government and non-profit agencies, corporations and insurance companies. Vermont Corporate College meets the needs for both pre-service and continuing education in these areas through online and in-person training and education.
Electrical, Plumbing Apprenticeship
Since 1999, Vermont Tech has been partnering with the Vermont Department of Labor to manage the related instruction component of the Registered Electrical and Plumbing Apprenticeship programs. Through these programs, students meet the classroom requirement to sit for the Vermont State Journeyman Exam. We also offer workshops for Electrical and Plumbing exam prep, code update, and continuing education hours.
Leadership is the responsibility of everyone in the organization. This six-part series is designed to develop skills and effectiveness for supervisors, managers, team leaders and those with cross-functional responsibilities in the organization.
Classes combine group discussions, case studies, and activities to deliver training objectives. Each unit is approximately three and one-half hours and meets weekly, allowing time to reflect and apply new skills in the work environment.

The Center for Sustainable Practices at VT Tech developed the Green Workforce Training Program. These trainings, which lead to industry certification, span a range of disciplines and proficiency levels, appealing to students, people already in the trades, those seeking to expand their skills or move up in their field, and professionals required to maintain industry certifications.
CEWD offers several one-day seminars and short Certificate Programs each semester that are designed to provide you with new or advanced career and professional skills. Choose from a variety of fields and earn valuable CEUs (Continuing Education Units) that can be used towards licensure or re-licensure in many professions including engineering, certified site technicians, designers, and municipal/town staff.
Supporting students and farmers with educational opportunities related to: animals, plants, soils, food systems, sustainability, business and management. Training farmers to develop and synergize diverse agriculture operations on the same farmstead will make them stronger all-around competitors in the food production market, as well as more economically sound.

The agriculture component of the Continuing Education and Work Force Development Department designs workshops, trainings, courses and internships to serve the educational and training needs that support agriculture.
