Faculty Profiles |  | Allow Us to Introduce: Gordon Reynolds Department Chair of Civil & Environmental Engineering
An Alabama native, Gordon received his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama, and his Masters of Civil Engineering from Norwich University. Gordon is a Professional Engineer licensed in Vermont and is also a State of Vermont Site Tech A and B. In 2000, he began the Vermont Class 2 Public Water System Operator in Training. He has an OSHA Competent Person Certificate and is an AutoDesk Instructor (Level I & II, LDD, Map). Gordon was a Commander of the United States Navy Reserve from 1984 to 2007. He achieved his Commercial Pilots License and at one time was a Certified Flight Instructor. A NAUI Certified SCUBA diver, Gordon is advisor to the Scuba Diving Club on campus. Work history started out in Alabama with Robert R. Reynolds Contracting Co., Inc. as a Project Manager and then he began survey work with Charley Foster and Associates. He made his way North to Vermont working as a Design Engineer first at Little River Survey Company and then at Dufrense-Henry, Inc. Gordon began his career with Vermont Tech in 2000.
