| Residence halls close at 7 PM on the day a break period begins and reopen at 1 PM of the Sunday at the end of the break period. Dinner is served on the Friday preceeding breaks and the Sunday at the end of breaks. Vacation dates can be found on the academic calendar. |
Break Housing Housing during a break is available only to students who have received authorization from the Assistant Dean for Campus Life prior to the break period and have a legitimate need to stay on campus. Typically, break housing is limited to athletes who have games or practice and students who work on campus. Dining halls are closed during breaks.
Safety Inspections All rooms are inspected during breaks by residence life and physical plant staff for health and safety reasons.
Parking During Breaks Residents staying on campus during breaks may park in their normal lot. But may be required to move your vehicle to another location for snow Removal or emergency purposes.
Residents leaving cars on campus while away must park in the designated vacation parking area in Lot B.
Before You Leave....

- Remove food from refrigerators
- Remove all trash and recycling
- Clean your room
- Turn off all lights
- Close and lock windows
- Lock your door
- Remove items of significant value
- Set your thermostat to 65 degrees
