A student who believes there are significant mitigating circumstances shall submit an email letter to the Academic Appeals Committee (AAC).
This letter will include the studentís full name, address, and college identification number. It will fully explain the circumstances surrounding the appeal. The AAC will meet and make a recommendation to the Academic Dean, who will make a final decision regarding the appeal. This decision will be final and will not be subject to further appeal. To read about this process more fully, please see the Vermont Technical College Student Handbook.
Students reinstated on appeal will normally be reinstated on academic probation. Students must also appeal to the Office of Financial Aid to have their aid reinstated. This is a separate process from the academic appeal.
