Allow Us to Introduce: Ralph Esposito, Ph.D Department Chair of Electrical Engineering Technology and Electromechanical Engineering
Originally born in sunny Italy, Ralph emigrated to the US when he was seven and grew up in Wayne, PA. Ralph began his education at Villanova University where he achieved his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Continuing to Brown University, he received both his Master of Science and Doctorate in Engineering. Ralph brings over thirty years of experience with IBM including numerous projects encompassing process and chip design, product qualification and introduction into manufacturing to extensive project leadership and people management skills. At IBM, Ralph worked as a Senior Engineer Program Manager, Development Manager, Product Development Manager, Product Development Engineer and a Product Engineer.
He also holds thirty years of experience in education from teaching a variety of technical courses, and developing courses and training programs for numerous colleges and IBM. He has taught for the University of RIís Extension Division, Roger Williamís Junior College, St. Peterís School, Union College Extension, Polytechnic University/Marist College and Dutchess Community College. In 2002, he began his time with Vermont Tech. Ralph belongs to the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and is a member of Sigma Xi. He is also a co-holder of a patent assigned to IBM.
