RANDOLPH, Vt. —The cows at Vermont Technical College may not be aware, but they will be a driving force behind the school's latest energy project.
After seven years of planning, VT Tech broke ground Tuesday to celebrate construction of The Central Vermont Recovered Biomass Facility Anaerobic Digester.
"Seven years of education, projects, working with students over the summer," said Joan Richmond-Hall, director of the Sustainability and Design Department.
