Stomach Virus Alert

The Vermont Tech Health Center is notifying the campus community that three students have presented with symptoms of a stomach virus on the Randolph campus.

The virus is not fatal but severe and spreads through physical contact. Personal hygiene is vital. Please wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before and after meals. Please also use the hand sanitizer provided on the dining hall tables, classrooms and public spaces. If you feel symptoms coming on, hydration is very important.

Anyone who suspects they are coming down with a stomach virus should STAY HOME/in your residence hall room, then contact the Vermont Tech Health Center at (802) 728-1270 or (802) 249-7309. If on campus during a time the Health Center is closed, contact Public Safety at (802) 728-1292 for access to medical care.

You can continue to be contagious for up to 48 hours after symptoms end so please remain home or in your residence hall room. Contact your RA to have food and water delivered to your room.
