Academic & Personal Counseling

The Center for Academic Success offers a wide range of services to help Vermont Tech students graduate successfully and maintain as much balance as possible in their lives along the way.  The increasing demands of school can often make students feel overwhelmed and when you have a full plate, and it helps to talk to someone about your questions and concerns.

Academic success counselors are available for counseling to help reduce stress, promote learning and growth, and improve achievement.  Counselors can also help connect students to resources within and outside of Vermont Tech, assist in overcoming obstacles, and provide support and/or coaching in any of the following areas:

  • Stress management
  • Test Anxiety
  • Study skills
  • Goal setting and decision making
  • Issues of transition, social adjustment, or relationships
  • Improving communication skills
  • Time management skills/avoiding procrastination
  • Managing emotions and relaxation techniques
  • Planning for the future/financial and family concerns
  • Career exploration
  • Moving past depression that sometimes accompanies the challenge of college

The Center for Academic Success is located on the second floor of Conant in Randolph Center and in room 406 in Williston. Students from campuses other than Randolph have access to these services via phone or Skype.  If you are feeling stuck and do not know who to talk to, stop by or call to make an appointment with:
