VA Benefits | | Veterans who are planning to attend Vermont Technical College using the GI Bill should indicate this on their Admissions Application. Students should also go to: http://www.gibill.va.gov, download the VA-Form 22-1990 Application for Educational Benefits, complete it and mail it to:
VA Regional Office PO Box 4616 Buffalo, NY 14240-4616
It takes weeks, but the VA will send a letter of eligibility to the veteran, a copy of which should be forwarded to:
Office of the Registrar PO Box 500 Randolph Center, VT 05061
Each semester, after the two week add/drop period, the registrar certifies each veteran's level of enrollment with the VA. The first payment from the VA normally takes six to eight weeks from the beginning of the term and is sent directly to the veteran, after that, checks are normally received monthly. The amount of the payments is dependent on eligibility and entitlements. Vermont Technical College does not do Advanced Payment requests for veterans for applicants. More Information
