Scholarships for Vermont Residents:
 
Green Mountain Scholarship
The Green Mountain Scholarship is awarded only to Vermont residents. This merit-based scholarship is available to first-time freshmen enrolled full time. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years when the student maintains a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Changes in on-campus residency status will result in scholarship adjustments. No application is necessary; students are automatically evaluated for this award at the time of application.

Commuters

3.0-3.499$1,000 yearly, up to $4,000
3.5 +$1,500 yearly, up to $6,000

On-campus residents
HS GPA
3.0-3.499$2,000 yearly, up to $8,000
3.5 +$2,500 yearly, up to $10,000

Next Generation Scholarship
The Next Generation Scholarship is awarded only to Vermont residents and is based on merit and need. This scholarship is available to first-time freshmen enrolled full time. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years when student maintains a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to students with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and 1st generation college students. No application is necessary; students are automatically evaluated for this award at the time of application. Award amount: $2,500 yearly, up to $10,000.
 
Vermont Tech Scholars
The Vermont Tech Scholars program provides two half-tuition scholarships for up to four years for applicants admitted to Vermont Tech degree programs as full-time freshmen. Applicants must have demonstrated their potential for academic and personal achievement and may also have financial need. The Vermont Tech Scholars award is only available to Vermont residents. Preference will be given to students who are attending college for the first time. Non-traditional students may apply. Students must demonstrate academic excellence in high school with a high class rank (top 20 percent is suggested) and high academic achievement (1550 combined score or better is suggested) on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
Students admitted to Vermont Tech may apply for this scholarship.  To apply for the Vermont Tech Scholars Program, please complete the Scholars Application and return it with one letter of recommendation to the Office of Admissions, Vermont Technical College, Randolph Center, VT 05061, by April 1. This recommendation should address your academic qualifications and attest to your personal attributes.  Attach a list and brief description of awards and honors you have received, and community service, employment or other significant activities in which you have been involved during (and after, if appropriate) your high school years.  Attach an essay of not more than 250 words in which you discuss an individual or event that has had a profound effect on you.
 
Scholarships for out-of-state students:

Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is awarded only to out-of-state students. This merit-based scholarship is available to first-time freshmen enrolled full time. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years when student maintains a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
Changes in residency status (in-state, Good Neighbor or Regional Student Program) may result in a partial or total loss of scholarship. No application is necessary; students are automatically evaluated for this award at the time of application.

Scholarship is awarded based on HS GPA:
2.0-2.499$3,500 yearly, up to $14,000
2.5-2.999$4,500 yearly, up to $18,000
3.0 +$5,500 yearly, up to $22,000

To apply for one of the scholarships specific to your major (listed below), complete the Vermont Tech general scholarship application.
VSC Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship
A full tuition scholarship is provided to any Valedictorian and Salutatorian from a Vermont public school or approved independent school.  A half-tuition scholarship is provided to any Valedictorian and Salutatorian from a Vermont recognized independent school. Farms 2 + 2 Program
The Vermont Legislature, through the Vermont Department of Agriculture, with generous industry support, provides half-tuition scholarships for Vermont residents who begin the program at Vermont Tech and maintain at least a B grade average each year of their college career. The scholarship is designed to support Vermont Tech students who will carry forward their education to the UVM Dairy Program. Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester and be enrolled full-time in the Dairy Management Program. Contact Chris Dutton at 802.728.1793 for more information.
 
Athletic Scholarships
Athletic scholarships are awarded by the Vermont Tech Department of Athletics in compliance with the policies and procedures of Vermont Tech, Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC),  and the United States Colligate Athletic Association (USCAA). Scholarship amounts vary. Full-time enrollment and meeting the athletic eligibility requirements is required to be considered.
