This is awarded to a Vermont resident who is a full-time student at one of the Vermont State Colleges and has an interest in education. The nominees need not be education majors; interest in education may be interpreted very broadly.

Vermont Space Grant Consortium
The grant is worth $1,500 annually and is awarded on the basis of academic standing to full time students attending VTC, UVM, and Norwich with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students should have an interest in the aerospace industry and NASA. Application deadline is March 1st. Go to

Vermont Women in Technology
This scholarship is typically awarded to an incoming freshman, but a VAST student in second year is also eligible to apply. Applicant must be a female enrolled in a non-traditional engineering curriculum (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Electromechanical). Award is based on academic promise and/or financial need.
