Elizabeth McKenzie is 2011 Technician of the Year
Elizabeth McKenzie of Glastonbury, Connecticut has been chosen as Vermont Tech’s Student Technician of the Year. She will graduate this spring with an Associate’s Degree in Architectural and Building Engineering Technology.
McKenzie will be honored by Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin at the annual Engineers’ Week awards ceremony held in the Ceremonial Office of the State House in Montpelier, as well as at a banquet dinner held in Burlington on February 25, 2011. The dinner is part of a National Engineers’ Week observance that brings together engineering students and practitioners from throughout the state. McKenzie, a member of ASHRAE, AIAS and the Sustainable Ethics Club, plans to work for an architecture or design-build firm before pursuing a Bachelor’s in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation.
