Student Profiles | | Allow Us to Introduce: Jess Grout Jess comes to us from Waterbury Center, VT. Waterbury is a fairly small town known mostly for being home to many of Vermont's larger companies and for it's tourist attractions.
When looking for colleges, Jess wanted something that was away from home but close enough to go back when she wanted to. She originally chose another school and stayed there for a year before deciding that she wanted a school closer to home. Her brother is a Vermont Tech alumnus and after some research she decided it would be a good fit for her as well. "The college has so much to offer", says Jess, "It's more then just an educational experience; it's a life experience."
Jess is currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Technology and Management. She was able to transfer most of the credits she had taken elsewhere which will allow her to finish her degree in only three years at Vermont Tech.
Jess chose the Business Degree because of the many options available after graduation. She also feels it is something that she can excel in. She is also working in the Admissions Office and she "loves every minute of it".
Jess is not sure what life holds for her after college but says "I am very confident that with the excellent instruction of my professors. By the time graduation rolls around I will have the extensive knowledge that I need to be successful in life after college."
