Sunday, September 20, 2009 Amy Galipeault, a junior from Danville, VT, broke two women’s soccer records on September 20, 2009 in a game against Paul Smith’s College . Galipeault scored an astonishing 6 goals in one game, setting a new record for most goals scored in a single game.
“In all of my years coaching and playing I have never seen something like this” said Coach Jenn Norton.
The VTC Women’s Soccer Team went on to win the game 6-0 and everyone on the team helped Amy in one way or another to accomplish this goal. Galipeault added two more goals in a 4-3 overtime loss to SUNY/Canton in Sunrise Conference play the day before. For her effort, Galipeault was awarded USCAA National Player of the Week, YSCC Player of the Week, and Sunrise Conference Player of the Week.
