I have 26 years of experience in nursing education, and have been a faculty member at Vermont Tech since 1994. I received a BSN from the University of Vermont in 1983, and a MSN from the University of Phoenix in 2001. I previously worked in the nursing education department at Central Vermont Medical Center, and prior to that worked as a staff nurse and charge nurse on a medical surgical unit at that same facility. I am a member of the Vermont State Nurses Association, as well as the American Nurses Association. In 2007, I was appointed by the Governor to the Vermont Board of Nursing where I currently serve as Board Secretary and Co-chair of the education committee. I also serve on the NCLEX committee for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. A native Vermonter, I am the mother of 3 grown sons and live with my husband and dog and cat
