Welcome to the Re-Accident Project
This project is for ELM4702: ELM Project II class in the Bachealors of
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology program here at Vermont Technlcal College.
The purpose of the project is to build an accident data recording
system for cars called Re-Accident.
There are currently several different manufactures
that make products similar to this but they still have not been mass
produced for the civial market. If your still fuzzy on what an
accident recorder it you probably have already seen them by
watching "COPS", "High way Patrol" or a show that shows a dashboard view of a
car chase. Across the country law enforcement use these systems
extensively to protect themselves in the line duty.
The pupose of this project is to record data
from a car with atleast one minutes before and 30 seconds
minutes after an accident. The Information will be recorded by a micro-controller (µC) and stored into memory using a
I2C memory module. The data will eventually extracted onto a PC
to then show the recorded information.
If you have any comments, questions or suggestions
then please email me at jturgeon@vtc.edu.
I would happy to explain any part of my project that I have yet to explain or
clarify.
Thank you
