This course provides instruction in radiography of both large and small animals. The laboratories review anesthesia while the students learn to position animals for radiographs and develop, handle, and store the films. Ancillary techniques such as dentistry procedures are also covered. Students perform blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examination on animals that are scheduled to be anesthetized as medically indicated and perform post-anesthesia monitoring. Some preparatory work and patient monitoring is required outside of scheduled lab time.
