This course is a continuation of PHY 2041 for electrical engineering technology, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering students. Emphasis is on understanding basic physical concepts in practical situations and in subsequent technical courses developed in the students major field of study. The fundamental structure of the course is designed to provide the student a firm foundation for the study of semi-conductor technology. Topics include thermodynamics; wave motion; electrical and magnetic fields; light; and solid state physics.
