This course develops proficiency in the use of professional-grade computer-aided manufacturing software and in the use and operation of CNC machine tools. Topics covered include the history and development of CNC machining, current technology, development of programs, setups, tool lists (cutting, precision measurement), material lists, fixtures, schedules, orders of operation, safety hazards, and preventive maintenance.
