This course will teach students how to estimate the market potential for a business idea. The course will provide students with a realistic experience of the process of preparing a business plan that will attract lenders or investors. Students taking the class are presumed to already have a business idea or a technology to develop. The course will emphasize the importance of market research and the collection of information necessary to establish the viability and sustainability of the business idea. During the semester, students will be expected to repeatedly defend their ideas with their peers and invited guests. The development and presentation of a sound business plan is the final product.
